Here’s a big ol’ BUT – this timeframe is when we get our feedback and content from you in a timely manner. If you dilly-dally with your photographer or leave us on read without reply for two weeks… you’ll go to the back of the work queue and that will add more time to the project.
Will I be able to update my website myself?
Yes, but with some important caveats.
Your website will come with training (via video or your Client Kitchen) on how to make everyday updates easily and safely. You’ll be able to:

- Change out contact details
- Swap images in galleries or repeatable sections
However, editing the core pages (like your homepage or main service pages)? That’s another story.
We build your site using Bricks, a professional-level WordPress builder. While it is technically possible for you to edit page layouts, Bricks is not beginner-friendly. It’s powerful, flexible, and clean but has a steep learning curve.
If hands-on page editing is a must for you, tell us at the start of the project sowe can structure your site differently so that non-dev users can make more changes without risking the layout or breaking the site.
That said: most pages don’t need frequent editing if the content and strategy are set up right from the start. And if you ever do want to make bigger changes? We offer flexible support or maintenance plans to help.
Are there any ongoing costs I should expect?
Yes, and we’ll always make this clear up front so there are no surprises.
Here’s what you need to know:
- You’ll need hosting and a domain name. These are annual costs and we can recommend trusted providers or offer hosting through our own managed care plans.
- Some plugins or tools we use may require a license.
- If you’re on an ongoing care plan with us, those licenses are included.
- If not, we’ll provide a list of what your site uses and instructions for purchasing your own.
Why don’t we include plugin licenses with every build?
Because we legally can’t. We don’t own these tools, and reselling them would violate licensing agreements. Anyone who offers “free lifetime plugins” is either breaking the rules or handing you expired tools that may stop working.
