If your visuals get the first date, your words get the second.

And if they’re doing it right? They keep the relationship going strong.

We get it. Writing feels like one of those things you should be able to DIY. You passed English. You’ve got opinions. Maybe even a Grammarly subscription.

But the truth is, writing that sells? Writing that connects, converts, and holds someone’s attention longer than a TikTok? That’s a different skill set. And it’s one you can (and should) delegate. Especially if you’re investing in a custom website.

Because a gorgeous design with meh messaging? That’s a missed opportunity.

Clarity. Consistency. Chemistry.

Your audience doesn’t want more to read. They want to feel seen. Understood. In the right place.

And your words? That’s how they know they’ve found the right person for the job.

We write websites, emails, blogs, bios, and more. But it’s never just pretty words for pretty’s sake.

Every sentence is strategic, brand-aligned, and doing real work.

What you say helps your readers:
Instantly understand what you do and why it matters
Feel like you “get” them (because you do)
Trust that you’re the right person to help solve their problem

We’ll Write the Exam So You Can Ace the Interview.

No more agonising over the perfect phrasing or rewriting your homepage for the fifth time. You’ve done the thinking, the research, the client work. You know your stuff! You just need the words that show it.

We take your expertise, insights, and goals and turn them into clear, confident copy that sounds like you on your best day. Strategic, brand-aligned, and tailored to the people you most want to reach.

This isn’t about polishing what you wrote at midnight. It’s about crafting what your audience actually needs to hear so you can focus on doing the work you love, while we make sure your words do the heavy lifting.

Empathy + Strategy = Conversion

We don’t write to sound clever. We write to make you understood.

Because the goal isn’t applause, it’s connection and conversion.

At A Lined Design, our copy process is equal parts psychology, empathy, and strategic thinking. We take the time to understand your target audience: what they need, what they care about, and what moves them from curious to clicking.

Here's What Shapes Our Approach

At A Lined Design, we don’t write to impress an algorithm. We write to reach people. Climb inside their brains and eke out what they need to hear from you. Because behind every search, scroll, or skim-read is a real human with a real problem they’re hoping you can solve.

If your copy isn’t connecting to your target audience because it sounds like flakey fakey chatbot word salad… it’s not just cringey. It’s costing you.

Here’s how we keep your words doing their real job:

StoryBrand

You’re not the hero, your client is. You’re not in business without them. We help them see themselves in your message so they feel understood, supported, and ready to act.

It’s about shifting your positioning from “look how great I am” to “here’s how I can help you win.”

Conversion Psychology

We write with intention. Every word is placed with user experience in mind: to guide attention, spark emotion, and nudge action without ever sounding like a hard sell.

Headlines. CTAs. Body copy. Blog posts. They all have a purpose, or they don’t make the cut.

Our Own Special Sauce

It’s the wit and the rhythm. The moment someone reads your website and thinks, “Oof, that’s so me.” And if we’re lucky, a lil gigglesnort. We bring the nuance that generic templates and AI just can’t. It’s what makes your copy not just read well but feel right.

You deserve words that reflect your brand, serve your people, and build real trust. Because when your copy connects? That’s when your business really starts to sing.

What’s it cost?

Our content projects are always scoped to your needs because no two stories (or sites) are the same. But as a guide:

  • Website copywriting starts from $2,500 + GST
  • Email sequences from $800 + GST
  • Blog packages from $750 + GST (for 3–4 posts)
  • Content strategy sessions from $450 + GST

If you’re booking content alongside a Turn Key or Full Tilt website package, your quote will include copywriting.

Copywriting Questions

Website copywriting is the art and science of writing words that guide your visitors toward action.

Whether that’s booking a call, buying a product, or signing up to hear more. It’s not just “having some text” on a page. It’s your brand’s voice, values, and offer working together to make the right impression and convert the right people.

Copywriting is persuasion: it moves people to act. Think headlines, CTAs, email sequences, landing pages.

Content writing is connection: it builds trust over time. Think blogs, newsletters, resource guides.

You need both. We do both: strategically aligned and voice-first.

Yes, and yes again. If you’re investing in a high-converting site, your words need to match the energy of that design. Beautiful visuals without strong copy is like turning up to a pitch in a killer suit… and mumbling your way through the presentation. We won’t let that happen.

Absolutely. If your voice is solid, we’ll honour and apply it across your site. If you’re still finding it, we’ll help you refine it. Either way, you’ll walk away with consistent, confident messaging that sounds like you (but your best, most on-point version).

We love getting samples of your voice before we start, and working through why you think they are working for you, good feedback you’ve had as part of the Creative Brief process.

We ask great questions. Listen hard. Review what you’ve already said (and how). Then we draft, refine, and shape until it feels like you but clearer. More compelling. More purposeful. Our job is to pull the words out of your head and make them land with your audience.

There’s also a difference to note here: what you sound like vs what your brand sounds like in order to do its job might be different. Your brand voice and tone might be different to yours personally.

Perfect. That’s what we’re here for. You know your business—we know how to turn that into words that work.

Yes, but human-first. We bake in relevant keywords and SEO structure without making your copy sound robotic.

Humans are the ones your business needs to connect with, and AI is built on human preferences. Our hope is that AI evolves and searches learn and grow that it helps humans find what they need better.

Focussing on humans and being of service is always a winner in our books.

Google finds it. Humans feel it. Win-win.

Always. You get one full revision round (and often some micro-refinements too) to make sure the words do their job and are factually correct before they go live. No surprises. Just confidence.

For a full website, we typically need 2–3 weeks after we’ve agreed the Creative Brief, depending on scope and scheduling. Shorter projects like email sequences or blog packages are quicker. We’ll confirm your timeline before we begin.

It’s a common framework: Clear, Concise, Compelling, and Credible. We’d add a fifth: Connected. Because it’s not just about what you say,  it’s how well it resonates.

Great question, and one we get a lot.

Copyright is a legal term. It protects original creative work from being copied or used without permission.

Copywriting is a creative service. It’s the craft of writing words (a.k.a. “copy”) that persuade, position, and connect—especially in marketing, websites, and branding.
We don’t do copyright law. But we do write original, conversion-aware, and strategically aligned copy you’ll be proud to own.

We know it’s tempting—but for Turn Key projects, we handle the copywriting in-house, and here’s why:
Writing good content isn’t just about explaining your services. It’s about crafting:

  • Clear calls to action
  • SEO-ready headlines and hierarchy
  • User journeys that guide and convert
  • Messaging that fits perfectly into your page design, tech stack, and flow

In short: your website isn’t a bunch of words on separate pages: it’s a strategic narrative, and content plays a massive role in how the entire thing works.

We’ve found that when clients try to write the content themselves, or hire an external copywriter who isn’t part of our process, it actually slows things down and costs more in the long run.

That said—we absolutely welcome your input:

  • You can provide tone of voice notes, samples, or brand guides
  • You’re invited to review and suggest edits during our copywriting process
  • Your existing copywriter can contribute feedback at the Creative Brief stage

But the writing itself? That’s our job. And we’re really, really good at it.

That said, if you’re a seasoned writer with a marketing background, or you’re part of an organisation where content must follow internal requirements (like policy language, legal review, or board approvals), we’re happy to explore a different approach.

We’ll just need to define responsibilities carefully, and adjust our process so we’re all clear on who’s doing what, and when. This ensures the website still comes together beautifully, on time, and on purpose.
