Five Bob Farm
Meet Chris and Sue: custodians of the land in both spirit and body. Five Bob Farm, named for the humble sum paid for its original plot, is a thriving hub in Southern Tasmania’s Channel region.
From pepperberry crops and chickens to an onsite art trail and an atmospheric venue for hire, Five Bob is a place of layers—cultivated land, creative energy, and community warmth. Whether you’re picking up veg via a Facebook drop or walking the grounds, there’s always something growing.
The Project Brief
This site was created as a sibling to Art Farm Birchs Bay, with a focus on showcasing everything Five Bob Farm offers beyond the sculpture trail.
The branding had already been completed elsewhere, so our task was to:
Build a vibrant, cohesive site around the existing brand assets
Showcase The Venue with beautiful galleries and a seamless enquiry pathway
Make it easy for visitors to explore the farm’s various facets while clearly navigating between sister sites
Work with a treasure trove of imagery (thank you Lisa Kuilenburg!) to create a visual feast
Bring the logo to life with movement and story
We delivered
WEB DESIGN
Rooted in the land, lifted by design.
We designed the site with a layered, grounded feel:
A rich dark grey base evokes the fertile soil, letting greens and landscape imagery leap from the screen
Hero images are complex and immersive—so any overlaid text is placed on frosted glass panels for clarity and legibility
Navigation is intuitive but playful, including exit cues when heading to pepperberries or art trail sister sites
Our animator gave the sprout logo a beautiful breeze-blown life, a subtle moment of magic that sets the tone from the very first frame
Visual storytelling is the heart of this site, especially for The Venue, where we built expansive gallery sections to invite users in and let them imagine their own events nestled amongst the hills.
Why it works
This is a website that doesn’t just show what Five Bob Farm offers—it gives you a sense of what it feels like to be there. Alive with colour, connection, and care, it’s a digital window into a place where food, art, and community all take root.

Sarah and her team were fantastic!
They supported us through what we thought was initially quite a daunting process. They took the time to get to our the business and those that work in it and truly got to understand what made the business tick.
Working to a very tight deadline, nothing seemed too much for Sarah and her team.
She delivered an amazing website within the timeframe we had and we couldn’t be happier.
Thank you Sarah – we love our new website so much 🙂
