Noble Ink

From a suitcase startup to a booming creative print hub.

Meet Paul Noble: UK expat, Tassie local, and founder of Noble Ink. With a background in design, printmaking, and engineering (yes, really), Paul’s not your average printer. His business began with a borrowed printer and a stall at the local market, selling quill-and-ink artwork from the boot of his car.

These days, Noble Ink is a full-service design and print studio with a beautifully branded storefront, a cult following, and a website that does a lot of heavy lifting.

The Project Brief

Paul had a bold vision: to streamline the chaos of custom print ordering and bring his business in line with (or above) the big-name franchises but without losing the charm, flexibility, or soul of his studio.

The website needed to:

  • Allow customers to design their own business cards and flyers on site

  • Handle artwork uploads, account creation, and reorders without emails or spreadsheets

  • Display volume-based pricing and live updates as users adjusted their order

  • Reduce manual admin and cut back on invoicing

  • Tell the Noble Ink story in a way that felt genuine, not generic

And of course, look fantastic while doing it.

We delivered

WEB DESIGN

Bold, intuitive, and built for creative minds.

Noble Ink already had a strong visual brand, so we worked with the established Aglet font family and signature red/grey palette to expand the look into something cohesive and compelling across the site.

  • Homepage animation: Paul had a concept and tagline ready to go, and with our animator’s help, we brought it to life with custom movement and visual flair

  • Tiered pricing tables show real-time per-unit breakdowns as customers build their orders—no guesswork, no maths, just clarity

  • Add-on pricing, quantity selectors, and file upload options make ordering seamless and stress-free

  • Account creation and file storage let repeat customers reprint or reorder with just a few clicks

  • SEO-friendly product feeds are tied to each service type, helping Noble Ink rank well for everything from packaging to signage to large format prints

  • A full-screen desktop menu gives plenty of space for customers to search, access their accounts, and explore everything Noble Ink offers

The Result

From launch day, business boomed—Paul hired a full-time local just to keep up with demand. And now, Noble Ink’s website stands tall against the big players, but with a distinctly handmade, heartfelt twist.

Because here? It’s not just about printing. It’s about helping you bring your ideas to life.

From the very first meeting with Sarah, I knew that the build and design of my website could not have been done by any other than the team at A Lined Design… The growth of my business that I experienced from launch day … hands down the best decision I ever made was to use A Lined Design for my web build!
