Michelle Finan Interiors

Design that feels like you, guided by someone who really knows what she’s doing.

After two decades designing for high-end commercial and residential clients across hotels, hospitality, retail and multi-res, Michelle Finan launched her own practice. The shift? A deep desire to focus on homes—working with individuals (often via their architects) to bring warmth, intention, and individuality to large-scale residential builds and extensions.

Michelle’s philosophy is simple: it’s your home, not hers. Her job is to help clients realise the vision they’ve been carrying in their heads, sometimes for years… and make it beautifully real.

The Project Brief

Michelle needed a brand and website that would:

  • Reflect her experience, professionalism, and confidence

  • Appeal primarily to architects (her key referral base) and secondarily to design-literate residential clients

  • Feel spacious and refined—never trend-driven or overly styled

  • Create a clear pathway to enquiry for the 2–3 large, high-value projects she takes on each year

This wasn’t about chasing every lead. It was about attracting the right ones.

We delivered

BRAND DESIGN

Warm, structured, and open to interpretation.

We leaned into Michelle’s 3D planning and drafting superpowers, creating a monogram that feels architectural but inviting.

  • Her initials are set in a custom logomark evoking isometric floorplans: clean lines, clever depth, and a nod to her technical edge

  • A warm, neutral palette supports rather than overshadows her client work: perfect for mood boards, watermarks and presentation

  • Fonts are chosen to balance freedom and precision, with just enough movement to reflect creative flexibility

Every detail signals a calm confidence. This is a designer you trust to deliver what matters, without ego, without fluff.

WEB DESIGN

Rooms on a page, scrollbars with a story.

The website takes inspiration from floorplans, using both horizontal and vertical lines to create space and rhythm—organising information the way Michelle organises interiors: with quiet clarity.

  • Scrollbars containing position statements add subtle motion and reinforce her brand voice

  • Generous white space allows images and mockups to breathe, inviting the viewer to imagine their own project within the aesthetic

  • Typography is treated as a design element in itself—structured, elegant, and unfussy

The site quietly communicates what Michelle brings to the table: thoughtfulness, precision, and a deep understanding of how to bring someone’s vision to life.

And yes—it picked up a few awards along the way. A win for Michelle and for team ALD.

Working with Sarah and her team at A Lined Design has been one of the best business decisions I have made. Starting from scratch and not knowing where to start, Sarah helped guide me through the whole process. She is personable, professional, very knowledgable and incredibly patient. She has been very efficient throughout the whole process. I am so proud to direct people to my website and love my logo and branding. I would highly recommend using them.
